Just as in sport, where the objectives are like the intrinsic tensions that underline the stakes, the local retail sector is faced with injunctions that, for its players, are as many medals to be won in order to remain on the attractiveness podium. "Reinventing ourselves" is therefore a necessity, a mantra that corresponds to constant training and the demands of a competition that doesn't always say its name, but which in practice corresponds to the practices of top-level sport, where questions of environment, territory and competition are crucial.
Before being displayed in a shop window, commerce is the result of choices made by an economic model in which supply and demand are both respected and opposed. The interests of one are not necessarily the interests of the other. It's a two-way game, and the ecosystem can't do without it, since one systemically needs the other.
In this spirit of complementarity and fair play, the FC Metz Stadium will be the ideal backdrop for this2nd edition of the "Printemps du commerce", where all the issues of the moment - from recruitment difficulties in sectors under pressure to major metropolitan projects contributing to better business conditions - will be addressed.
The presentation of the CCI's annual study of local household consumption, commissioned by the Metz Eurometropole via Inspire Metz, will provide an opportunity to comment on some instructive economic indicators. This study, which is in the public interest, will shed light on a situation of transition experienced by retailers, where new practices and new aspirations are taking shape through corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The2nd edition of Printemps du Commerce is also shaping up to be an exceptional event for retailers in the 46 communes of the Metz Eurometropole, thanks to the influence and contribution of its guest of honor.
Biography of David Douillet |
With two Olympic judo titles, four world titles and a number of career changes as a businessman and insurer, broadcaster, sports columnist, elected representative and now entrepreneur, David Douillet is particularly well placed to make the link between the demands for results placed on top-level athletes and entrepreneurs alike. He will talk about his career path and the need to adapt in the context of his reconversion. His talk will also evoke the values of sport, which can be borrowed by retailers as they constantly adapt to a changing environment. |
